Utica New York Weather
Monday's highs are in the upper 20s to mid-30s, and we have a good chance of a few inches of snow on the ground for the northern half of the state starting Tuesday. Snow showers will be expected Tuesday morning in much of New York City and parts of Lake Placid. The winter storm will spread in a few days, with up to a handful of feet of fresh snow in some areas, along with the possibility of some rain. Tuesday's highs are likely to be lower than normal for this time of year, but the snow showers will mix and turn into showers as temperatures rise into the mid-30s.
The Lake effect will begin bringing several inches of snow to northern Oneida County on Saturday night and Sunday. On Sunday morning, dense fog will form in the northern half of the state, with the most widespread in the three counties. Thick fog will also add to the 1 a.m. warning issued for parts of Lake Placid, Lake Champlain and the Hudson Valley. The council issues advice until 1am for foggy conditions and associated restrictions on driving and parking.

Storm and snow totals will exceed a metre in some places, particularly in the North West. The PM is growing confident that a multi-sea link will stop the snow showers, particularly on Sunday night. The effects of the snow shower will continue into Monday morning and the early evening hours of Tuesday.
Continued warm and humid conditions should change most areas from rain to rain by the end of the day on Tuesday, with a slight chance of rain in some areas. Snowfall was expected in higher elevations in the early hours of Tuesday. An improvement is expected on Wednesday morning, when milder air will shift from a light shower to a snow shower.
