I went to the museum this past summer with a friends son. Though he enjoyed himslelf alot (and that was what counted most) I did notice there were some things that didn't work or were missing pieces. Overall it was a wonderful visit, I just wish there had been a little more.

A recent visit to The Children's Museum in Utica was an awesome experience. Adopted by NASA and the Office of Science, declared a NYS and Federal Historic building, its four large floors of interactive exhibits truly did provide an entertaining and educational experience for our entire family, including the kids, parents, and grandparents! A great way to spend a day learning about History, Science & Technology, and so much more!

Although it's fallen on hard times recently as far as funding, the Children's Museum of Utica still offers a nice variety of activities to stimulate imaginations and interests. From even the littlest one who can play in the safely sectioned off area on the big wooden train and with age-appropriate toys to the older kids who can venture into the nearby school, post office, supermarket or doctor's office, there is much to encourage imaginative play! Upper floors offer a number of choices--dinosaur explorations, lego train tracks, even a small animal section. Several different classes are offered from crafts to music for munchkins and admission is very reasonable.
